The following publications were written by Linda Hackbarth and produced with the help of Peter Balbi.  They are available by mail order from the Bayview Historical Society.

A Pictorial History of Bayview and other Surrounding Areas - 1860-1940

This is a collection of nearly 200 photos originally gathered by Roy and Ethel Ellis in the 1960s.  Without their efforts to preserve local history by asking various families to give them copies of favorite photos these images would no doubt be lost.  Each 5x7 shot is accompanied by a descriptive caption.

Bayview and Lakeview and Other Early Settlements on Southern Lake Pend Oreille

Ms. Hackbarth spent four years researching the history of the area and interviewing numerous early residents before compiling this story of the early years on the southern part of Lake Pend Oreille.  The book is published by the Museum of North Idaho.

Bayview - The Early Years - DVD

Ms. Hackbarth and Mr. Balbi collaborated in the production of a 38-minute DVD using a combination of photos and narrative to tell about the early development of Bayview, including its industries and families.
